Does Your Cattery Perform Health Testing?
Yes! At Luxe Kitties Boutique, the health of our cats is our top priority. All of our breeding cats undergo DNA testing for:
- Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM)
- Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA)
- Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD)
- Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency (PKDef)
- Over four dozen other gene mutations commonly found in feline breeds
Additionally, we conduct full-panel fecal and upper respiratory PCR testing through Idexx, as well as FIV/FeLV testing whenever a new kitten or cat joins our cattery.
What Age Can I Bring My Kitten Home?
Kittens are ready to leave our cattery between 12 and 16 weeks of age. Each kitten is carefully evaluated to ensure they are healthy, well-socialized, and ready for their new home.
If a kitten experiences a reaction to a vaccine or their spay/neuter surgery, we may extend their stay at the cattery to guarantee their well-being before transitioning to their forever home.
Do You Offer In-Home Cattery Visits?
For the health and safety of our family, cats, and kittens, we do not allow visits to our cattery.
However, once your kitten is reserved, we will provide regular photo updates so you can watch them grow and mature before bringing them home!
What Do You Feed Your Kittens and Cats?
Our cats and kittens are fed a Houseblend Raw Mixture from our local raw pet food provider, Furball’s Choice.
Pregnant and nursing females also receive Acana First Feast for added nutrition.
Do You Offer Breeding Rights?
At this time, we do not offer breeding rights.
